Event Details:

Join PACT on Saturday 1st August as we take a second bash at Stainton’s Baron’s Cross Quarry, to rid it of as much invasive Himalayan Balsam as possible!

  • What to wear: Old clothes are best! We highly recommend long-sleeve tops and trousers, as you might be pulling out balsam amongst nettles and thistles. Please wear sturdy shoes or wellies, and bring thick waterproof gardening gloves to protect your hands.
  • What to bring: A packed lunch, drinks, gardening gloves, and sunscreen or waterproofs just in case.
  • Ages: All ages are welcome, although the activity is not very suitable for young children.
  • Accessibility: The site is fully accessible by foot, with uneven ground in places.
  • The reward: Hard work deserves a treat, so we will provide the cake!

You'll need to book your places via PACT's website where you'll also find more information about the location and parking.
