Help us fill up our balsam bank this year by removing this invasive, non-native plant from our riverbanks, paths and fields. By autumn, we hope to deposit 500,000 plants into our ‘balsam bank’, giving much-needed space to native plants so they can survive and thrive.
The whole family can take part and help us to remove Himalayan Balsam from our riverbanks. It’s super easy to pull, and we need to do it before the plants get too big (did you know it can grow to over 2m tall?!)
All are welcome, no experience necessary and no equipment needed. Join us for a rewarding, fun and invigorating way to spend your day! And by pulling out invasive, non-native Himalayan balsam, you’ll be helping to protect our rivers and native wild plants. It’s easy, fun and a good workout!
Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
