Event Details:

Welcome to the third in our summer series of wellbeing walks, designed for anyone who would like to discover new places in the Eden with friendly, like-minded people. Each week offers a different way to experience nature, combining gentle walking with creative or mindful activities.

A gentle riverside walk in Coombs Wood, listening to nature’s sounds including flowing water and birdsong along the route.

This walk takes us from Armathwaite Bridge into Coombs Woods, following riverside and woodland paths towards the Vista sculpture viewpoint.

This is a great choice if you enjoy a slightly more adventurous walk and want to deepen your connection with nature through sound and atmosphere. We’ll be pausing regularly to listen to the river, birdsong, and the wider soundscape of the woodland.

We’ll also introduce the Merlin Bird ID app for anyone curious about identifying birdsong.

It’s a calming, immersive experience designed to help you tune in to the natural world in a new way.
