Harvey joined the Ribble Rivers Trust in 2015 in the role of programme manager for the ‘Ribble Life Together’ programme which went on the win the coveted UK River Prize in 2022. He became Head of People and Learning in April 2020 and Deputy CEO of the Ribble Rivers Trust staff team in October 2021 supporting the charity and its staff team, leading on major programmes and its partnership and engagement activities.
He studied Environmental Management at Lancaster University, later earning a Post Graduate Certificate in Management. He is a Member of the Institute of Leadership and Management (MInstLM), and a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (FRGS).

By building on everything that has already been achieved, working with natural processes, empowering local communities and bringing people together around shared goals, we can deliver lasting benefits for Eden’s rivers, wildlife, and communities.”
Harvey replaces Elizabeth Radford, who joined us in December 2017, overseeing the growth of ERT into a widely respected and influential charity during her eight year tenure as CEO.
Harvey said: “I’d like to extend my sincere thanks to Elizabeth for the outstanding contribution made during her time with ERT; steering it through many challenges and successes and always championing the unique and special qualities of the Eden river catchment, its landscapes and its people.”
