Sustainable Stainton and Penrith Action for Community Transition (PACT) need your help! Join them in pulling out invasive Himalayan Balsam along the River Eamont, near Stainton. Take a packed lunch and they’ll provide cake!
All are welcome and no previous experience is necessary. By yanking out this fast-growing, non-native plant, you will be giving native orchids and important pollinators the room they need to thrive. It is easy, incredibly satisfying, and a fantastic workout!
Please wear protective clothing (long sleeves, long trousers, gloves) and sturdy footwear. Be prepared for spending the day outside – you may need a raincoat.
You'll need to book your places via PACT's website where you'll also find more information about the location and parking.
