Event Details:

It’s all hands on deck as we attempt to clear an invasive and non-native flowering plant called Himalayan Balsam this summer. It can smother other plants and drastically reduce the variety of native woodland wildlife that’s able to make Engine Lonning its home.

It’s your local woodland, and you may spend a lot more time there than we ever can, so please do come and help us to rid the woodland of this pesky plant and unleash your inner ‘Balsam Basher’. Tug it from the soil, snap it into pieces and stop it in its tracks!

Morning session: 10 am to 12 noon
Afternoon session: 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm

Join us for one or both sessions.

Wear old clothes, plenty of layers and sturdy footwear.

All ages – under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

This is a drop in event so you can just come along and meet us on the day but if you know you’d like to join us or would like to borrow wellies / gloves etc it would help if you could let us know in advance by emailing [email protected] or by calling 01768 866788.
