Event Details:

After the success of last year, join the fun and activities as Penrith’s Community Nature Reserve celebrates its first birthday!

Cold Springs’ Holy Well was traditionally celebrated on a Sunday in May, and we’ve brought back this annual tradition with our own Bottle Shaking parade. Just like the Victorians did, collect sweet treats to add to your bottle, join the band and celebrate the water - and nature - at Cold Springs!

The parade will be held at 1pm, but from 10am there will be activities to enjoy throughout the reserve, including willow-weaving workshops; nature-based arts and crafts; and wildlife themed games. Get stuck in with some pond dipping or discover the reserve’s mini beasts by helping with our annual citizen science bioblitz.

There’ll also be sweet treats to try – or bring along your own picnic – and discover how your local green space is growing at this family-friendly fete.
