A great place for the people of Penrith to enjoy being in and watching nature.
Cold Springs Nature Reserve is owned by Cumbria Wildlife Trust, who are a partner in our Access to Eden: breaking barriers, building bridges project.
As part of the Access project, over the next four years, new accessible access points and paths, rest areas, signage, and interpretation in the wildlife garden and pond will be created on this site.
Alongside this, community-led habitat enhancement: ponds, trees, wildflowers and an orchard are being added at the site. A series of activities and events for families, young people, the local community and under-represented groups is also underway, helping to introduce the site, enabling people to enjoy and learn more about the site.
