In one of our last balsam bashes of the season, this may be the event that finally fills up our balsam bank! By autumn, we now hope to deposit TWO MILLION plants into our ‘balsam bank’. By helping us to reach our ambitious target, removing this invasive, non-native plant from our riverbanks, paths and fields, you'll be giving much-needed space to native plants so they can survive and thrive.
It’s super easy to pull, and we need to do it before the plants get too big (did you know it can grow to over 2m tall?!)
All are welcome, no experience necessary and no equipment needed. Join us for a rewarding, fun and invigorating way to spend your day! And by pulling out invasive, non-native Himalayan balsam, you’ll be helping to protect our rivers and native wild plants. It’s easy, fun and a good workout!
Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
