The Farmer Network and Eden Rivers Trust are hosting a free workshop offering advice on woodland and hedgerows plus training on hedge-laying and hedgerow condition assessments. Spend the day or drop in for as long as you like.

9.30am to 3pm on Thursday 16th January 2025, Gamblesby.

Renew your Hedge-laying skills with an all-day drop-in workshop with hand tools (tutorials at 10am and 1pm). Watch a hedgerow condition assessment demonstration at 2pm for Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) agreements.

By booking a place you’ll have the opportunity to pre-book a free 30 minute 1-to-1 session with ‘Catchment Sensitive Farming’, Andy Dyer (Agricultural Adviser) or the Forestry Commission for advice on funding, grants, mapping, management and more.

Suitable for: anyone with a reasonable level of mobility to get to the planting sites.
Experience: no experience needed.
Wear/bring: gloves and stout footwear/wellies, old warm work clothes, waterproofs, drinks, lunch & snacks.
