Volunteer training: hedge laying

Date: Thurs 09 Feb | 10 am - 3.30 pm | Gamblesby

The traditional art of hedge laying is a great way to extend the life of our hedges, so that they keep on intercepting, slowing and storing water for years to come. It ensures that they are in good condition to provide safe homes and corridors for wildlife, and shelter for livestock.

This is your chance to learn how to lay a hedge, or brush up on your existing skills.

Suitable for: anyone who would like to learn the traditional craft of hedge laying or get in some practice
Experience: no experience needed.
Wear/bring: gloves and stout footwear/wellies, old work clothes, waterproofs, drinks, snacks & lunch.

To take part: Book your place at least 1 day before the event by emailing Jenni Payne, Volunteer Coordinator at [email protected] or call her on 01768 866788.

A confirmed meeting place and time will be sent out to you once we have received your booking.
