Happy Holly-Day
Join us for a seed collecting, holly planting, willow star making holly day! FREE event.
We will meet at 10am at our offices in Penrith / What Three Words: publisher.planting.competing. Parking is available. 4 Cowper Road, Gilwilly Industrial Estate, Penrith CA11 9BN.
We’ll leave at 10am to head out and collect our holly berries, a little ivy and holly leaves to decorate willow stars later in the day.
We will then head back to Eden Rivers Trust Community Tree Nursery at Plot 99 Brackenber Allotments, Gilwilly Industrial Estate, CA10 9FF, What3words///stunning.unhelpful.awestruck, for hands-on preparation of the holly seeds and a potting up session to give us a valuable stock of holly to grow on at the nursery.
You can then join us in creating your own willow star, decorating it with ivy and holly. Something to remember your day by and to take away with you.
Everybody is welcome to come along and join us. No experience or equipment is needed but come dressed for the weather and muddy ground. If you have any accessibility requirements or questions please contact info@penrithact.org.uk
- The ERT office is a 20 minute walk from Penrith Town Centre.
- The 104 bus stops at the Esso petrol station on Scotland Road, then walk along Lark Lane, along the footpath and under the railway line.
