  • Wednesday 7th August
  • 10am – 12.30pm

Everyone is welcome at our Engine Lonning Balsam Bash. Let’s get together and get rid of this invasive, non-native plant from our riverbanks and footpaths!

All are welcome, no experience necessary and no equipment needed. Join us for an hour or the whole session! For a rewarding, fun and invigorating way to spend your day! And by pulling out invasive, non-native Himalayan balsam, you’ll be helping to protect our rivers and native wild plants. It’s easy, fun and a good workout!

All ages – under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Details:

Where to meet: Main entrance, off Newtown road (at junction of Harvey Street and Coledale Meadows) W3W fight.food.bleat

Parking is very limited. Please walk or use public transport.

What to Wear: old clothes – long-sleeve tops, trousers, waterproofs and gardening or work gloves (we can lend you some!) Covering arms and legs is important as you might be pulling out Himalayan balsam in nettles and thistles! Wear wellies or sturdy shoes/boots.

What to Bring: drinks, hats, sunscreen and waterproofs (just in case) and lunch if you plan to stay all day.
