Event Details:

Join our summer festival wiping out Himalayan balsam along Eden’s rivers!

This non-native invader sees off Eden’s native plants in the summer, leaving us with bare, erosion-prone riverbanks when it dies back in the winter. Join us at an event near you and help bash this plant into submission. It’s easy, it’s fun and always a good workout! Additional balsam bashing opportunities will also be taking place across the Eden catchment in the build up to our Big Balsam Bash Weekend. You’ll find them all listed on our volunteer pages where you can register to come along and lend a hand.

Alternatively, if you want to make a weekend of it, join a balsam blitz organised by an Eden community near you over the Big Balsam Bash Weekend taking place on Saturday 12th July and Sunday 13  July.
