We are delighted to announce that our 25th Anniversary Auction is now open! It offers a fabulous, fun way for people to support their local river conservation charity and give back to the river after it has helped to nurture our health and wellbeing during such a difficult year.
The auction has gone virtual for the very first time and runs until 8:15pm on Saturday 15th May, so there’s plenty of time for people to look through the lots being offered and place their bid.
There are 118 lots to choose from thanks to the generosity of our supporters and local companies.
From experiences, adventures and holidays to artworks and exclusive, ‘one-of-a-kind’ items, there’s something for everyone (whatever your budget!). As you’d expect from Eden Rivers Trust (ERT), many of the lots celebrate the best of what Eden and Cumbria have to offer.
Why not bid on guided walks with local experts or take to the water – kayaking, paddle boarding or fishing?
Alternatively, bid to host a dinner party for 20, feast on hampers and artisan beers, take a tour of Lowther’s honey-making enterprise, or treat yourself to limited-edition locally-produced knitwear, beautiful glass artwork and one-off items and experiences from ERT staff.
For those eagerly awaiting the return of overseas travel, there’s a week for eight people in an incredible beach house in Antigua.
To round off the auction and add a bit of drama and excitement from the auction room, the Trust is hosting a LIVE online 25th Anniversary Auction event.
… all from the comfort of your own home!
Tickets for the hour-long event on 15th May are also now on sale and cost only £20 per ticket/screen.
For those who are quick off the mark and buy their ticket before 12 noon on 3rd May, an elegant fizz and mixers party pack will be sent to your door to help us celebrate on the night.
Elizabeth Radford, Eden Rivers Trust’s CEO said:
We’re excited to launch our very first virtual auction as part of our 25th anniversary celebrations. Thank you to all those who have been kind enough to donate a lot and make this event possible.
The money raised is vital; it will help us meet the long-term challenges faced by Eden’s rivers, such as climate change and pollution.
Placing a bid in the online auction is an easy, fun way for people to help keep our rivers healthy for the next 25 years from the comfort of their own home. But importantly, it‘s also an opportunity to give back to the river … saying thank you for providing us with special places we’ve enjoyed as we’ve dealt with the challenges to our mental and physical health during the pandemic.
Keep an eye on our website for more information about up and coming events and activities to help us celebrate 25 years and find out how you can be a part of the next 25 years and help create cleaner, healthier rivers for us all.
