We rely on grants, the goodwill of our local community as well as supporters from further afield to carry out our conservation and engagement work in the Eden Valley, Cumbria.
Eden’s rivers are fundamental to the landscape and culture of the Eden Valley catchment – when they are healthy, we are healthy. Over the years our local rivers have been modified and polluted; we are losing habitat which supports iconic wildlife such as otters and salmon, we are losing wildflowers and insect life which supports our birds. There has been a decrease in water quality in the Eden and flooding is becoming much more prevalent. Eden Rivers Trust works in partnership with land owners, farmers, government agencies and all river users to try and reverse these trends.
Eden’s rivers are recognised internationally as being special and with your help, we want to keep them that way.
Donations small or large, regular or one-off, as gifts or in memory of a loved one are hugely appreciated and gratefully received by the staff and volunteers here at Eden Rivers Trust.
Thank you for your support.
