River Eden

A healthy Eden for all

We’re the Cumbrian conservation charity standing up for Eden’s rivers

rethinking rivers. For good.

Since 1996, we’ve been working to protect and enhance the Eden catchment, changing how people see rivers and empowering communities to take action. Our mission is simple but powerful: to create a brighter future for our rivers where people and nature thrive together.

At Eden Rivers Trust, we take pride in getting things done. Our strength lies in the power of partnerships—working collaboratively with others while drawing on our deep understanding of Eden’s rivers and a practical, hands-on approach to solving environmental challenges.

With strong local roots and boots on the ground, our knowledgeable team delivers innovative, cost-effective work that makes a real difference—both locally and across the wider catchment.

As an independent charity in both structure and spirit, we’re agile, forward-thinking, and fully committed to creating lasting change for Eden’s rivers and the communities that depend on them.
