Help us create a haven for wildlife
We are developing a wetland site on the Lyvennet at King’s Meaburn to improve habitat, diversity, water quality and holding capacity. We are looking for help to plant up the sides of the central scrapes with 30 species of flowering plants. This will attract all sorts of wildlife, from birds to butterflies and bumblebees, making this little corner of the Eden catchment even more special.
Transport will be provided from Morland Community Centre as parking at the site is very difficult. We will advise the time(s) to meet when you book.
We will also provide equipment, gloves, and refreshments.
You will need to wear old warm clothes, suitable footwear – preferably wellies – and bring lunch, waterproofs, and gloves if you have them.
Booking is essential. To book your place, please get in touch with Jenni Payne, Community Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator on 01768 866788 or email email@example.com
