From Marbles to Monsters: sharing adventures in delivering creative river engagement projects

FREE event for staff working in rivers trusts who are delivering or want to deliver inspiring community engagement activities and wants to be better connected with colleagues from across the country.

Maximum of 20 spaces.

This networking event aims to allow community engagement staff in Rivers Trusts to share learning about the successes and challenges involved in delivering projects connecting people with rivers and river conservation projects.

Sessions will include:

Presentations on Eden Rivers Trust’s recent projects:

  • Thinking Big: Eden Rivers’ Wonder World Exhibition.
  • Reconnecting people with their river after flooding: Inside Out riverside felt trail and Marble Run: River.
  • Developing school programmes that reflect the curriculum and the Trust’s work – Rivers for Life  & Litter Monster.
  • Engaging communities in river restoration projects: Elma and the Giant.

Poster presentations on community projects from each participant.

Get hands on with ERT – your chance to try out some resources and activities developed as part of our projects.

Discussions on topics identified by participants.

Networking buffet lunch.

Wednesday evening – opportunity to meet up for an informal networking dinner or drinks.
