Discussion event: Ammonia Emissions Reduction

Date: Tuesday 16 July, 7.15-9.30pm, Eden Rivers Trust office, Newton Rigg College, Penrith CA11 0AH

Host: River Petteril Facilitation Fund

Guest speakers: Pin Dhillon-Downey and Colette Garner

In this meeting, we will cover the background of why a reduction in ammonia emissions is an important issue – both locally and nationally, and also look at how relatively straightforward measures can be implemented on farm to help mitigate the effects of ammonia emissions.

Pin, who is our Cumbria Team lead for ammonia reduction, will talk on the background to forthcoming legislation. Our other speaker Colette, who is an air quality national team member, but based in Cumbria, will talk on mitigation measures and future planning controls.

Group members should please arrive at 7.15 pm for a light buffet supper and refreshments, to be followed by the meeting. Guests are welcome.

For catering purposes, please contact Andy Dyer or leave him a message at our office (01768 866788) by 5pm on Friday, 12 July, if you are able to attend the meeting.
