River Action Day:Himalayan Balsam Bash

Monday, July 24, 2017 - 10:00 to 15:00

Monday 24 July
Petteril Valley Park, Carlisle

Himalayan balsam is a non-native invasive plant that increases river bank erosion and risks reducing the diversity of plants and insects. Throughout June and into July we will be carrying out management of this plant. This involves pulling it out and breaking it into small pieces to prevent it from growing again. We need as much assistance as possible with this annual battle. Can you help?
This is a great chance to spend time outside making a difference to your local area.

Lifts to site from Penrith may be available by prior arrangement.

Please email Paul Greaves to reserve your place at paul@edenrt.org or call 01768 866788
